Liquid Freezer III is ready for immediate use thanks to the pre-installed radiator fans in the configuration. The fan cables are integrated into the tube jacket, so only one cable needs to be connected to the motherboard. With the included MX-6 thermal paste, you have everything you need for a quick and easy installation.
Liquid Freezer III is compatible with several Intel and AMD sockets. In the future, Intel will release new Arrow Lake processors on the LGA1851 socket. ARCTIC customers don't have to worry that new processors will also require new coolers. We guarantee full compatibility. All Liquid Freezer III can be used with Intel's new LGA1851 without restrictions.
In independent tests, Liquid Freezer III clearly stands out from the competition in all price categories, mainly due to its outstanding performance. In normalized noise tests, the Liquid Freezer III shows its true strength, outperforming many competitors with its quiet yet powerful operation.
Intel's Independent Loading Mechanism (ILM) deforms the CPU by pressing it into the socket at two points with more than 40 kg. This causes pressure in the PCB, the die and the solder layer between the die and the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader). With a high heat load, this can cause long-term problems. The mounting frame from ARCTIC does not deform the CPU, greatly reduces the mechanical load on the CPU, is quick and easy to install, and allows the cooler to be screwed onto the back plate of the CPU. As a result, mechanical stress on the motherboard and processor is minimized, cooling performance remains consistent, and installation is quick and uncomplicated.
Motherboard power converters often operate at peak temperatures in combination with power-hungry processors. To compensate for the lack of airflow from the tower cooler, the Liquid Freezer III operates with a revised VRM fan. The 60mm PWM fan provides near-silent cooling of the plinth area when VRM cooling is insufficient, in poor airflow situations, or especially in overclocking scenarios. This enables a constant higher load and a longer lifetime of the voltage converters.
Liquid Freezer III is equipped with a specially developed water pump with PWM control, which has been further optimized in terms of performance and noise. Thanks to an improved cooling plate with an extended fin area and optimized water pipes, the Liquid Freezer III increases its performance while maintaining quiet operation.
AMD has been using a multi-die chiplet design for its Ryzen desktop processors for generations. Unlike Intel processors, the hot spot in these processors is not centrally under the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader), but slightly offset. AMD's mounting solution therefore has a 5 mm offset to achieve optimal heat dissipation.
The cooling surface of the 38 mm thick radiator has been increased by 23% by increasing the set of fins. This allows not only better heat dissipation, but also a larger volume of liquid. As a result, heat build-up in the water cooling system is slowed down, and power and temperature peaks can be effectively managed over a longer period of time.
ARCTIC relies on proven P fans, which have already won several awards for their outstanding performance. The P series is particularly suitable for use on coolers and radiators with a high density of fins. Thanks to the high static pressure, they achieve significantly better results compared to fans designed for high air circulation.
Some motherboards are not compatible with Liquid Freezer III due to oversized SSD coolers in the M.2_1 slot. We provide a suitable M.2 heatsink for these motherboards free of charge, please contact Arctic support.
